Robert Downey

Robert Downey BComm’81 has recently retired from the federal public service after 33 years in the field of Human Resources. During his career, Robert worked in seven federal organizations in three provinces and held positions such as: Senior Labour Relations Advisor at National Defence Headquarters; Manager of HR Operations, NCR Region at Fisheries and Oceans Canada; Chief of Labour Relations at the Privy Council Office; and most recently Senior Policy Analyst at Treasury Board Secretariat of Canada. Robert currently resides in Ottawa and plans on remaining in Ontario during his retirement. His future plans include travel, continuing his family genealogical research, and resuming his involvement with the sport of boxing in an administrative capacity.
