Throughout the past few years, Saint Mary’s has welcomed new students into the community at the start of the fall and winter semester at our Santamarian ceremony. The ceremony allows students to learn about the Saint Mary’s values and hear from alumni. This year, Alumni Council member Sylvia Gawad BSc’14 spoke to incoming students about her experiences at SMU and how to take advantage of all the great programs, societies, and communities on campus.
