SMU alumni recently launched a new volunteer program connecting passionate Santamarians that want to lend a helping hand with various community groups and events, all while reconnecting with fellow alumni! Boston Tree Lighting Ceremony & Reception

A reception was held for our Boston alumni ahead of the 77th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting festivities. After the reception, a number of alumni made their way to the Boston Commons to watch the tree lighting ceremony, which included performances from East Coast artists!
Toronto Chinese New Year Dinner

We had the pleasure of celebrating the Chinese New Year with a dinner in Toronto with many of our Chinese alumni joined by Vice-President Advancement, Erin Sargeant Greenwood. A special thank you to Angela Yang BComm’04 and volunteers for their help in organizing what we hope will be the first of many more to come!

SMU Alumni Enactus Toronto Event

In May, the Enactus team finished in the top four at the national competition in Toronto. The students celebrated this great accomplishment with alumni at a fun post-competition reception. Congratulations to the Enactus team for representing SMU on a national stage!
SMU Alumni VIP Jazz Fest Experience

We had a sold-out VIP tent for this year’s TD Halifax Jazz Festival featuring Daniel Caesar and Charlotte Day Wilson. Over 250 Santamarians got the VIP treatment with their own bar, free food, early access to the festival, and comfy seating – what a way to celebrate the closing night of a great festival!
