Halifax MP Andy Fillmore visited Saint Mary’s in December 2016 to announce two new Canada Research Chairs. Dr. Christa Brosseau, Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry, is the new Canada Research Chair in Sustainable Chemistry and Materials; and Dr. Todd Ventura, Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry, is the Canada Research Chair in Petroleum Systems, Geochemistry and Reservoir Characterization. “This is one of the highest honours Canadian researchers can achieve,” says President Summerby-Murray. “These researchers are at the forefront of their respective fields, and their work embodies the type of innovation that will help strengthen our economy and our society.”
