25th Anniversary Women’s Rugby Reunion

A number of former varsity women’s rugby players returned to campus for a reunion at Homecoming to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the sport at SMU! Alumnae presented their jerseys to this year’s roster before their game against UPEI the following morning, proving that once a Husky, always a Husky!
Huskies Cookout BBQ

To celebrate the first football game after the start of the fall semester, SMU alumni organized a pre-game BBQ. The game ended in victory, which was a sign of things to come as the team made it to the Loney Bowl and ended with an 8-1 season.

One World Alumni Awards Gala

We had the chance to celebrate alumni leaders at this year’s One World Alumni Awards Gala during Homecoming. Congratulations to all award recipients, and to the winning charity (Adsum House for Women & Children) and student society (Habitat for Humanity) who both received $7,500 to help them continue to make meaningful impacts in the community. Golden Grad Luncheon

At this fall’s Homecoming, we celebrated the Class of ’68 at our popular Golden Grad Luncheon hosted by Steven Armitage BA’68 LLD’09. Alumni from across Canada and the world returned to campus after 50+ years to reconnect with former classmates and friends. One of our alumni even brought his old Saint Mary’s High School jacket!

SMU alumni recently launched a new volunteer program connecting passionate Santamarians that want to lend a helping hand with various community groups and events, all while reconnecting with fellow alumni! Boston Tree Lighting Ceremony & Reception

A reception was held for our Boston alumni ahead of the 77th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting festivities. After the reception, a number of alumni made their way to the Boston Commons to watch the tree lighting ceremony, which included performances from East Coast artists!

We had the pleasure of celebrating the Chinese New Year with a dinner in Toronto with many of our Chinese alumni joined by Vice-President Advancement, Erin Sargeant Greenwood.
